PAIN ASSESSMENT TOOLS AND SCALES
Anesthesia Record Mobile App
The Anesthesia Record mobile app was designed for use in medical centers and hospitals for accurate anesthesia management. The app, which is easily accessible from any smartphone or tablet, tracks the types of anesthesia used, postoperative pain management plans, patient safety information and other important patient details.

Whether a local anesthetic or moderate sedation is used, it's important to maintain a complete Anesthesia Record for all patients. This helps protect patient safety, while also providing valuable care details for registered nurses, anesthesiologist assistants and others who monitor patients that receive anesthesia. The app can be customized to include notes on preoperative care, blood pressure, gas flow rates, specific anesthesia codes and other details that are vital to effective patient care. The results are saved electronically, making it easy to add them to the patient's permanent medical record and anesthesia services log.

ASRA TimeOut App
The American Society of Regional Anesthesia (ASRA) TimeOut App provides a quick and easy way to execute a pre-procedure timeout. Timeouts have repeatedly been shown to reduce human error prior to performing complex tasks. In regional anesthesia, it is imperative that we perform the correct block on the correct limb for the correct patient every time.

The app is based on the 2014 ASRA publication, A Checklist for Performing Regional Nerve Blocks, and was built in collaboration with ASRA to stay consistent with the evidence-based checklist described in that publication.

In addition, the user has access to the full PDF publication from Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine built right into the app.

Academy of Veterinary Technicians in Anesthesia and Analgesia
The Academy of Veterinary Technicians in Anesthesia and Analgesia (AVTAA) exists to promote interest in the discipline of veterinary anesthesia. The Academy provides a process by which a veterinary technician may become certified as a Veterinary Technician Specialist (Anes / Analgesia). The Academy provides the opportunity for members to enhance their knowledge and skills in the field of veterinary anesthesia.
Association of Veterinary Anesthetists
The Association of Veterinary Anaesthetists is an active, enthusiastic group of veterinary surgeons, researchers, technicians, pharmacologists who share an interest in animal anaesthesia, analgesia and animal welfare.
The Association was established in 1964 to promote the study of, and research into, the subject of anaesthesia and analgesia in animals. It also publishes the Journal of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia and has been active in the founding of the European College of Veterinary Anaesthesia. We are keen to promote collaboration between anaesthetists in all places, and actively encourage the establishment and taking of diplomas and degrees in veterinary anaesthesia.
American College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia
The American College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia promotes the advancement of veterinary anesthesiology and to assist the veterinary profession in providing exceptional service to all animals.

The goals of the ACVAA include establishing, evaluating and maintaining the highest standards in the practice of veterinary anesthesiology by promoting the establishment of educational facilities and clinical and research training in veterinary anesthesiology. Additionally, the ACVAA establishes the criteria of fitness for the designation of a specialist in the practice of veterinary anesthesiology.
